Since returning from Blackberry Farm, I’ve had so many people ask about our stay.
“How was it?” “Was it worth it?”
I thought I’d share what made it such a special experience.
The short answer? Yes, absolutely.
I went for our anniversary, but also with my travel advisor hat on because so many clients have wondered if Blackberry Farm is really as special as everyone says it is.
I now understand why Blackberry Farm has such a devoted following. It’s not because of one spectacular thing; it’s because they do everything exceptionally well. The food was a highlight. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included during your stay, and the five-course dinners at The Barn were some of the best meals we’ve had at a resort. Even with five courses, the portions are thoughtfully done, so you leave feeling like you’ve enjoyed an incredible dining experience, not overly full.
But what stood out most was the hospitality. Everyone genuinely seemed happy to be there, and you could feel the pride they took in caring for guests. Whether it was pouring your coffee, creating a cocktail, tending the gardens, caring for the animals, or keeping the fireplaces going, the service felt warm and genuine.
The rooms feel less like hotel rooms and more like a beautifully designed Southern home: comfortable, warm, collected, and inviting.
From cozy fireplaces and hiking trails to learning to fly fish for the first time, Blackberry Farm encourages you to slow down and enjoy the little moments. One rainy afternoon, we spent an hour playing Scrabble by the fire, and it was perfect.
I’ll definitely be back, and after experiencing it myself, I’ll be recommending Blackberry Farm to my clients with complete confidence.
