There’s a particular moment before an art fair opens where everything still exists in suspension.

The city is quiet. Crates are unopened. Walls still breathe emptiness. Conversations haven’t started yet, but you can already feel the energy slowly gathering underneath it all.

Over the course of a few days, temporary worlds emerge. Artists, curators, installers, collectors, wanderers, technicians, thinkers, observers — all building something together for a brief moment in time before it disappears again.

What stayed with me most during was not only the art itself, but the atmosphere around becoming. The anticipation. The presence. The human exchanges unfolding quietly between the noise.

A reminder that deeper looking is not only about what hangs on the walls, but also about what moves between people.
