🗽New York City is about to turn pink 🌸
Every April something happens here that even lifelong New Yorkers stop for. The cherry blossoms come out. And for a few days, the city actually slows down.
The first trees are already blooming in Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Over the next two weeks you’ll start seeing pink and white all over Central Park, Prospect Park, the High Line, and parks across all five boroughs.
Here’s the thing most people don’t realize: it only lasts about 5–10 days. Then it’s over.
If you want to catch them, these are the places I always recommend:
🌸 : hands down the best spot. More than 200 cherry trees. Already blooming. Buy tickets ahead of time because this will sell out.
🌸 Central Park: Cherry Hill and the east side of the Reservoir. Free. No tickets. Go before 8am if you want it quiet.
🌸 Prospect Park: over 1,300 trees. Most visitors never make it here. That’s exactly why it’s better.
🌸 The High Line: cherry blossoms with the Manhattan skyline behind them. If you’ve seen April photos of NYC online, chances are they were taken here.
🌸 Flushing Meadows–Corona Park (Queens): the one tourists completely miss. Go here if you want the blossoms without the crowds.

Peak bloom is usually around April 12–20. Plan around that.
Have you ever seen cherry blossoms in New York? 🌸 bil
