I don't know how "uber" can value themselves 10 Billions of dollars, All they got is affiliated drivers & Credit cards Database, it is true they were the first to catch the new tech to Bypass Dispatchers and confusions from these multiple transportation companies, which wasn't acceptable to customers. The Transportation industry needed to move forward and catch up with the hi-tech it is much convenient to customers and they like that, It is 10 times less costly to run and operate a transportation company, and it is difficult today for those companies that operate for decade to flip their operation to this era of transportation after spending million of dollars to build up, After all uber brought a lot of confusion in the industry by just taking advantage over the city lack of good policies. Now It is easy to connect Drivers & Customers, Way different from back then where there was no Gps , there was no emails or text messages, of course you will hear company like "uber" advertising lies to these hard working drivers, what happen today uber stole drivers and business from these bases where they were either not too busy in their neighbors or drivers wanted to work in different type of conditions, a new driver that come to join uber is less income for an old driver while these company are promoting themselves these poor drivers are lock into earning less and less income from either yellow cab or uber and all these companies out there!
