We always love hosting these workshops because every zine is different. Zines can be used in so many ways, but at the heart, they are a platform for ideas, self-expression, and creativity. ✨

When Christopher Street Tours meets Drag Experiences, you get a little bit of q***r history, a little bit of drag, and a whole lot of fun!! 🤩

Earlier this week, we hosted a Pride Trivia event in collaboration with Drag Experiences (Drag Makeovers & Experiences) and the fabulous Boy Gorge (BOY VII GORGE) at Warner Brothers Discovery! ✨

Categories spanned LGBTQ+ history to Q***r Film and TV, including questions like “Which President first declared Pride Month?” and a personal favorite: complete this quote “I’m coming to the ___.” 😆🏒

Boy Gorge gave two energetic performances to hype up the crow and really brought that Pride energy! Afterwards, we hosted a talkback about Boy Gorge’s journey into drag, what drag means to them, and why drag is so important today. [short answer: q***r joy, resistance, and resilience]. 🌈

It looks like the Gay Liberation Monument is getting a facelift! 💅🏼

Created in 1979 by artist George Segal, the sculpture is made of bronze and painted white. However, she needs a makeover every once in a while. Every year, the NYC Parks Department works to preserve the sculpture, using a special wax with white pigment to coat the monument, and then using a blow torch (!!) and paint brush for a smooth, clean finish. 🔥

Such a cool thing to witness on tour today, just in time to make sure she’s looking her best for Pride Weekend! ✨

Pride Pilates on the Pier was a success! 🏆

Q***r New Yorkers gathered this past weekend to take an inclusive Pilates class with the amazing Abbey (Abbey Raymond | Pilates NYC) followed by a q***r walking tour of the Pier and the neighboring q***r sites, led by our fabulous guide, Jenna (Jenna Shanley ☆). 🌈

It was such a special moment to host an event that brought local q***r community together! 🧘🏽‍♂️

We had a very special guest on tour this weekend: the man behind the Christopher Street Tours brand! ✨

Paul () at is an incredible artist, designer, and human, and is the reason we have such a fabulous look! 💅🏼 he gave us a facelift in 2023 with a new logo, new merch, and a new brand, and he has been a friend of Christopher Street Tours ever since.

This weekend, we celebrated his husband’s birthday on tour with friends and community. It was such a great group, and such a fun way to honor and celebrate Pride! 🌈

Meet our newest tour guide and storyteller: Luke! 🌈

Luke (he/him) is a public historian connecting hearts and minds to America’s museums, parks, and places through programming, interpretation, and education. Outside of tours, Luke is a lecturer, living historian, and podcaster. Luke lives in Brooklyn with his husband and two cats.

Sharing LGBTQ+ stories feels more and more like an act of resistance and an act of resilience. And truth be told, it always has been.

Yet, in a world where q***r stories and q***r history is being erased, it feels more important now more than ever before to stand tall in our mission of sharing and uplifting LGBTQ+ voices.
