Nakhon Si Thammarat is officially on the UNESCO map.

Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan recently became Southern Thailand’s first World Heritage Site, bringing new attention to a province worth spending a few days exploring.

There’s even more to discover beyond the temple. In Khanom, you can spot rare pink dolphins along the coast. At the Suchart Subsin Shadow Puppet Museum, you can discover the traditions of Southern Thai shadow puppetry. For a different way to experience the province, enjoy a scenic cycling day through the lush landscapes of Khiri Wong Village.

When the sun goes down, Khao Yai puts on a different kind of show. ✨🌌

Home to Thailand's annual Dark Sky Star Party, Khao Yai National Park welcomes thousands of stargazers each year for an evening of telescopes, astronomy talks, astrophotography, and some of the country's clearest night skies. It's one more reason to stay after dark.

Mark your calendar, then mark it again. 🇹🇭

Thailand's Royal Barge Procession sails the Chao Phraya on 6 November 2026: 52 royal barges, 2,200 Royal Thai Navy personnel, and a rowing rhythm that hasn't changed in centuries.

Here's the part most people miss. The rehearsals run from 17 August right through 28 October, and watching one from the riverbank is one of the best free things you can do in Bangkok.
