"I’m excited to share about my journey here at VITAC! It all started back at Take 1, where I began as a courier, picking up VHS tapes and DVDs from London whilst I was studying music. From there, I moved into a Media Technician role, where I worked on encoding the assets I’d collected and started learning about transcription and a variety of other services. That experience eventually led me to a Tech Support Manager position, where I had the opportunity to help others across the business.
As my career progressed, I took on the role of Technical Manager, where I had the chance to lead some major product developments, including the development and launch of our transcription software, Liberty. As Take 1 shifted to a more tech-focused approach, my role evolved into Head of Operations, and I was fortunate to play a pivotal part in the acquisition of Take 1 by Verbit.
Now, as Director of Operations at VITAC, I lead our transcription, captioning, audio description, and localization teams, working to ensure we’re always pushing the boundaries of service and accessibility. A major highlight of my current role has been leading the successful migration of services into the Verbit platform. This has opened up so many new doors for customer interactions and allowed us to offer products and services that were previously unavailable, ranging from fully automated solutions and carefully crafted human elite services. Seeing the transformation in what we’re able to offer our clients and how we collaborate internally has been incredibly rewarding.
It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m proud to be part of Verbit’s ongoing growth and success as we continue to innovate in the world of transcription and accessibility services.
