When I started this business in 2018, I couldn’t have imagined the ride it would take me on: from traveling to the far corners of the earth scouting destinations on behalf of my clients, to a year spent on my couch during a pandemic with no work at all forever battling the gloomy thoughts that maybe this was the end of travel, to a banner couple of years celebrating the return of the industry and of my young business, to today where I now have a team of 3, a family of 4, and an incredible group of wonderful clients keeping me busier than ever in their quest to plan the perfect vacation!

It was a big leap of faith when I embarked on this journey 5 years ago, but I feel incredibly lucky and proud to be running my own successful business, to have found a career that stokes the passion I’ve had for travel since I was a kid, and to be able to help my clients travel better, all while raising my young family.

Introducing Swoon Travel’s newest team member: Ezra Marston Merriman! Joined the party on June 28th, 2020 at 6:11am weighing in at 6lbs 10oz. His current passions include snoozing and eating but he will surely also be adding travel to that list as soon as he can get his passport and hit the road with his mom!

Today marks day 29 of our self quarantine & social distancing efforts and also the start of my 29th week of pregnancy & third trimester! During this unprecedented time when travel has become impossible and any glimmer of a “babymoon” is gone, we are instead trying to see the silver lining by slowing down a bit, relaxing, and more fully appreciating the beautiful places in our area of the Hudson Valley where we can walk & hike while still maintaining appropriate social distance. Today our destination was Hyde Park to explore the magnificent Vanderbilt Estate and while it wasn’t some exotic, far-flung destination, I was still so happy to be enjoying quality time with my husband and puppy in the brisk morning sunshine ☀️

Loved our stay at during our adventure this week in New Orleans! This new boutique property, featuring only 67 guest rooms, totally shook up the luxury hotel scene in the city and has some of the most gorgeous spaces and dining outlets in town. A huge thank you to for introducing us to your little gem and for being the best ambassador for your city! The role involves primarily invoicing & bookkeeping, assisting with proposals, and trip & project management. Ideal candidate will be very organized and detail-oriented, able to balance many projects at once, flexible, trustworthy, and can commit to a contract of at least 1 year.
