Journeys Unlimited A leader in Christian travel. Pastor-led church groups, custom tours and special events Our faith-based tours bring the teachings of the Christian church alive.

For over 30 years, Journeys Unlimited has provided life-changing travel experiences for the Christian community. They provide pastors and parishioners with a transformational religious experience in fellowship with their Christian community. We take great care to ensure that each trip is faithfully managed and quality controlled so that participants will be able to maximize the many opportunities

for spiritual and educational engagement. Our founders, Nick Mancino and Ray Masillo, began their ministry in travel in the 1960s, leading small groups on pilgrimages to the Holy Land. Nick and Ray saw the powerful impact these trips had on both pastors and parishioners. They transformed people’s lives and deepened their faith in surprising and unexpected ways. Recognizing the good in sharing such an experience with more Christians, Nick and Ray joined together in 1990 to form Journeys Unlimited. Since its inception, Journeys has served the Christian community with tours for churches of all denominations and from most states. Our reputation for quality programs has made us one of the top tour providers to the Holy Land, as well as to conferences and special events of Christian interest. This commitment to service has also enabled us to expand and offer Christian tours to diverse destinations such as Ghana, Ethiopia, Italy, England, Germany, Poland, China, Australia, Zimbabwe. Our tours provide an in-depth discovery of the culture, people, and places relevant to the Christian faith, as well as give new insight into the history, church art, music, literature and architecture.

ACCRA ARTS CENTRE: Where Ghana’s Heritage Lives On

Heritage is not only preserved in monuments and museums. In Accra, it is also found in the colors of woven textiles, the hands of artisans, the rhythms of performance and the traditions passed from one generation to the next. The Arts Centre, officially the Centre for National Culture, was established from an arts institution dating to 1961 and today works to preserve and promote Ghana’s artistic and cultural traditions.

Its galleries, workshops and markets bring visitors face-to-face with Ghanaian creativity—from Kente and other traditional textiles to carvings, sculpture, pottery, beads and contemporary art. More than a place to shop, the Centre supports artists and cultural workers while providing a window into the symbols, craftsmanship and traditions that help tell Ghana’s story.

The Arts Centre is a featured stop in Accra on Journeys Unlimited’s 9-Day Ghana: Retracing Our Roots Heritage Tour, alongside the W.E.B. Du Bois Centre, National Museum and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. From Accra, the journey continues through Kumasi and Cape Coast, exploring the people, traditions and history that have shaped Ghana’s remarkable heritage.

Experience Ghana’s rich cultural heritage for yourself. Explore Accra, Kumasi, Cape Coast and more on Journeys Unlimited’s 9-Day Ghana: Retracing Our Roots tour.

There are moments when the world feels like it is pulling people apart—when differences are emphasized more than what we share. But faith has always offered another way. It calls us not to stand against one another, but to stand with one another—rooted in something deeper than the moment.

To stand in faith together does not require sameness. It means recognizing that what we believe can bring us closer, even when our paths, backgrounds, or perspectives may differ. It is in these moments—when we choose to walk beside one another, to listen, to support—that faith becomes something real and visible in the world.

Now is the time to stand by one another. In our communities, in our churches, and in our daily lives. And when the opportunity comes to take that step further—to journey together, to share in something deeper—we are here to help guide that path. To inquire about organizing a pilgrimage for your church, visit journeys-unlimited.com or call 800-486-8359.

**Beyond the ancient walls of Rome stands a basilica built over the resting place of one of Christianity's greatest missionaries.** St. Paul arrived in Rome as a prisoner, after years spent carrying the Gospel throughout the Mediterranean world. According to ancient Christian tradition, he was martyred during the reign of Nero and buried along the Via Ostiense, where his tomb became a place of prayer and veneration for the earliest Christians.

In the fourth century, Emperor Constantine built a basilica over Paul's tomb. As increasing numbers of pilgrims came to honor the Apostle, a much larger church eventually rose on the site. Today, **St. Paul Outside the Walls** is one of Rome's four major papal basilicas. Beneath its papal altar lies the ancient sarcophagus traditionally identified as St. Paul's tomb, while its soaring columns, mosaics and vast interior reflect centuries of devotion to the Apostle whose letters helped shape Christianity.

Standing here brings Paul's extraordinary journey full circle. From the roads of Asia Minor to Philippi, Corinth and Malta, Paul carried the Gospel across the ancient world before reaching Rome. For nearly seventeen centuries, Christians have continued to come to this place to remember the missionary whose journeys, writings and witness left an enduring mark on the Early Church.

Walking Through Christian History
Stonehenge & The Roman Baths: Exploring the World Before Christian England

Long before England's great cathedrals and abbeys rose across the countryside, generations had already left their mark on the land. Stonehenge, constructed thousands of years before Christianity reached Britain, remains one of the world's most mysterious prehistoric monuments. Its massive stones offer a remarkable glimpse into the beliefs, ingenuity, and ceremonial life of people whose world existed long before the Christian era.

In Bath, another chapter of Britain's story comes into view. The remarkably preserved Roman Baths recall the centuries when Britain was part of the Roman Empire—the very empire in which Christianity was born and first spread. By the time Roman rule in Britain ended in the fifth century, Christianity had already established a presence on the island, setting the stage for the monasteries, churches, universities, and cathedrals that would eventually become part of England's Christian heritage.

Both Stonehenge and Bath are included on Journeys Unlimited's Anglican Heritage Tour, where they provide fascinating historical context alongside Canterbury, Oxford, Cambridge, York and some of England's great cathedrals.

Journeys Unlimited is pleased to announce its 2027 departures of The Italian Renaissance Tour & The Passion Play of Sordevolo, a Christian heritage journey through Northern and Central Italy featuring one of the world's most remarkable expressions of faith and community

Presented only once every five years, the Passion Play of Sordevolo is one of Europe's most significant religious events. Performed by the residents of the small village of Sordevolo in Italy's Piedmont region, the production brings the final days of Christ's life to the stage in a moving open-air performance involving hundreds of local volunteers.

The 2027 itinerary combines reserved admission to the Passion Play with visits to Milan, Sordevolo, Pisa, Florence, and Rome. Along the way, travelers will experience the rich Christian heritage of Italy while exploring destinations that have shaped the history of faith, art, culture, and Western civilization.

Oxford: Where Faith Met Scholarship

For nearly nine centuries, Oxford has stood at the intersection of faith and learning. Its colleges, libraries, and chapels have educated generations of Christian scholars, clergy, missionaries, and writers whose influence has reached every corner of the world. It was here that John and Charles Wesley, together with George Whitefield, met as members of the "Holy Club," pursuing a disciplined life of prayer, Scripture study, and service. Their years in Oxford helped lay the foundations for the Methodist movement, while the university continued to shape Anglican thought, biblical scholarship, and Christian education for centuries.

Today, visitors can walk through the historic colleges, worship in Christ Church Cathedral, explore the renowned Bodleian Library, and admire Oxford's iconic "dreaming spires." Around every corner is a reminder that this remarkable city has long been a place where faith has been studied, challenged, strengthened, and shared with the world through generations of Christian leaders.

Oxford is one of the inspiring destinations featured on several of Journeys Unlimited's Heritage Tours. Whether exploring the roots of Anglicanism or following the footsteps of John and Charles Wesley, these journeys bring Christian history to life by connecting travelers with the places where it unfolded. They are an opportunity not only to learn about history, but to experience it.
