Connecting youth from underserved communities to the maritime world through sailing is something we hope to expand upon in the coming years, especially with the youth here in Rockaway. We've got a solid little fleet going! This year we added a Catalina 12.5; a very user friendly sailboat for both adult and junior sailors. We use our entire fleet at various points throughout our Youth Summer sailing program as well as the Sailing 101 clinic.
There's plenty of opportunities for seasoned sailors to rent our Catalinas or let us help you achieve your goal learning to single-hand one of these spritely small sailboats.

Our online calender is live for 2025! Plus this is the last weekend to lock in lower prices for private tours and lessons. We are raising our price a mere 5% on only private tours and lessons.
We open for the 2025 season on April 19th.
Sailing 101 clinics start May 17.
Youth Summer Sailing starts July 7.

Lets help by voting for them to receive an EPA grant to create official water access to the historically neglected communities of Far Rockaway.
These photos were taken in the Norton Basin of Edgemere/Bayswater communities of Far Rockaway. I've sailed to every nook of Jamaica bay, as well as many other areas in NYC and the Norton Basin is one of the best harbors in terms of protection and natural beauty within the entire city. However, there's no infrastructure for getting folks out on the water nor for securing the land to dissuade pollutuers. Furthermore, we need to get the youth connected to the bay because nature is the mother of all mothers and she will teach us proper manners for a successful existence.

Right now our camp is a half day schedule, but we are in talks for a possible collaboration with one Rockaways surf schools in order to create a full day experience of both surfing and sailing!
