In honor of Women’s History Month, I’ve been thinking a lot about female-founded hotels—and honestly, they just hit differently.

When you look at founders like Christina Ong of COMO Hotels and Resorts, who’s spent decades growing her brand without losing its soul, or Anjali Singh of SUJÁN, who built something truly meaningful in Rajasthan that supports both community and environment—you start to notice a pattern.

It’s not just about how beautiful the hotel is (though they are). It’s about why it exists.

Luxury used to be all about bigger, flashier, more. What I see from female founders is something way more interesting: intention, storytelling, wellness, and a real sense of place. It feels personal—and your clients feel that.

As travel advisors, we’re always focused on finding the right hotel. But I think one of the most overlooked angles is understanding the story behind who built it and what they stand for. That’s where the magic is—and where you really elevate your recommendations.
