It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Hector Simone Xtravaganza, a cherished and longtime member of the House of Xtravaganza family.
Long before mainstream culture came to acknowledge nonbinary and gender nonconforming identities, Hector Simone lived boldly, fearlessly, and fabulously, showing the world the courage it takes to live authentically. They never let those who lacked understanding affect their spirit.
Please join us in celebrating Hector’s life and legacy—a life lived on their terms, filled with love, style, and resilience. Their legacy shines bright in the hearts of all who knew them. Rest in power, Hector Simone X.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our brother Abraham David Levy Xtravaganza. A beloved member of the House since the mid-1980s, Abraham quickly became an asset to the family, earning a reputation in the ballroom scene for his sleek, model-like frame and avant-garde fashion creativity. He was immortalized in Paris Is Burning, competing in the Punk Rock category—a precursor to today’s Bizarre category—sporting a striking high red mohawk.

Beyond ballroom, Abraham was a fixture of New York City’s 1980s club-kid scene, playing a pivotal role in bringing voguing and ballroom culture to a wider nightlife audience. He was among the first to host voguing competitions outside of traditional ballrooms, helping to expand the movement’s reach. His visionary approach to fashion and unwavering commitment to excellence took him from ballroom runways to RuPaul’s Drag Race and New York Fashion Week, dressing countless nightlife icons and LGBTQ+ personalities along the way. While we mourn the loss of our House brother and a vital part of Xtravaganza history and culture, we also celebrate Abraham’s legacy—one that made the world more vibrant, daring, and undeniably fabulous.

Forever Our Girl

Lorena Xtravaganza was taken from us 13 years ago, and the pain of her loss remains deeply felt. Her family and friends have held onto hope for justice for many years, and today, with the apprehension of her murderer, we can finally begin to find closure. Though the journey has been long, we are grateful to everyone who helped keep her memory and spirit alive. She was a powerful force within the House of Xtravaganza, leaving an indelible impact that will be felt forever. Her light continues to shine through all who were touched by her life.

I'm your Venus

These past couple of days have been monumental with the premiere of the ground breaking piece "I'm Your Venus"

Venus's story, lives with so many of us. For generations, her story in "Paris is Burning" was unfortunately like so many other trans women in the community tragically cut short. Through the beauty and pain of her life this documentary shows of finding love and support in unexpected places. Capturing real moments through discovery and creating everlasting change. Marrying two families together for healing and making things right for Venus and the future of many more lives that this will affect.

The House of Xtravaganza and The Pellagatti Family and those who made this beautiful piece celebrate a moment in history together. Thank you.

Today, we celebrate our Mother Xtravaganza on this special day.

The love, guidance, and support to her children is as powerful as any other. Her protection and strength serves as an example of what the meaning of Mother is.

Throughout the celebrations and pain our MOTHER continuously has stood by each and every one of her children and will forever be a beacon of hope for this generation and the many more to come.
