For those of you NOT in my private FB group, here is another peak of something you would find. We just came back from Alaska. I updated folks throughout with tips and photos. We also found a kid friendly fishing charter...details in group, but of course...I'll leave it here for you too!

Here is an amazing fishing charter. This is all Rachel’s finding, but worked so perfectly for our kids.
I get really bad sea sickness as much as I love fishing, I have tossed too much out of my body to get on another boat like that.
This charter is a female captain and it was private. Many charters cancelled because of the storm, but she left it up to us, Rachel and I decided we would send them and come in early if it was too rough. Everly was aching to be on that boat!
They boarded the Scarlett Grace and stayed in a cove like area. The captain, Captain Sandra was great. They layered up and she regularly asked about the girls tummies and offered ginger candy if needed.
The fishing was a bit slow, she said at this point in the season it is likely the storm keeping them away since it is usually overwhelmingly busy. They had some nibbles and got three in the boat. They were able to ship the three salmon home 🤢 (not something their mom who hates seafood is excited about)
On the boat the captain was able to tell when the girls were losing it, and was really great at distraction and pulling them back in. She has an eagle friend! She whistles and out she comes, this time also bringing her son. The girls could toss up a piece of fish for her to catch.
They saw a whale, caught some fish and truly had some fun! And yes, that is Rachel biting the head off a small frozen fish to “turn their luck around” according to Captain Sandra. And it worked!
