Borobudur Temple - Indonesia
This famous Buddhist temple, dating from the 8th and 9th centuries, is located in central Java. It was built in three tiers a pyramidal base with five concentric square terraces, the trunk of a cone with three circular platforms and, at the top, a monumental stupa. The walls and balustrades are decorated with fine low reliefs, covering a total surface area of 2,500 m2.
Around the circular platforms are 72 openwork stupas, each containing a statue of the Buddha. The monument was restored with UNESCO's help in the 1970s.

8 වන සහ 9 වන සියවස් වලට අයත් මෙම ප්රසිද්ධ බෞද්ධ විහාරස්ථානය මධ්යම ජාවා හි පිහිටා ඇත.
එය ස්ථර තුනකින් ඉදිකර ඇත . කේන්ද්රීය හතරැස් ටෙරස් පහක් සහිත පිරමීඩීය පාදමක්, රවුම් වේදිකා තුනක් සහිත කේතුවක කඳ සහ ඉහළින් ස්මාරක ස්තූපයකි . බිත්ති සහ බැලස්ට්රේඩ් වලින් සරසා ඇති අතර, මුළු මතුපිට ප්රමාණය 2,500 m2 වේ.
රවුම් වේදිකා වටා විවෘත ස්තූප 72 ක් ඇති අතර, ඒ සෑම එකක්ම බුද්ධ ප්රතිමාවක් අඩංගු වේ. 1970 ගණන්වලදී යුනෙස්කෝවේ සහාය ඇතිව ස්මාරකය ප්රතිසංස්කරණය කරන ලදී.
