You've seen Curaçao. Now let me introduce you to its ABC islands neighbor. 🌴

Aruba is the Caribbean's best-kept plot twist. One side of the island looks like a desert — cactus-studded landscapes and divi-divi trees permanently bending in the trade winds like they're posing for postcards. The other side? Some of the whitest, softest sand beaches you'll ever set foot on.

Eagle Beach. Palm Beach. The Ayo Rock Formations that genuinely look like another planet. And the California Lighthouse at sunset — if you only do one thing in Aruba, do that.

But here's what makes Aruba especially smart right now: it sits OUTSIDE the hurricane belt. While other Caribbean islands are entering peak storm season in August and September, Aruba stays sunny and dry year-round. So if you've been putting off a Caribbean trip because of weather worries, this is the island that takes that excuse off the table.

There's a lot of Caribbean travel advice floating around that's just... wrong. Here are 3 myths I hear from clients all the time:

❌ MYTH: You need a passport for Puerto Rico. ✅ REALITY: Puerto Rico is a US territory — US citizens don't need one. Pack your bags and go.

❌ MYTH: All-inclusive is always the cheapest option. ✅ REALITY: Not necessarily. If you love exploring local food and getting off the resort, a la carte can save you $500+. It depends on what you actually want to do.

❌ MYTH: Hurricane season means don't go. ✅ REALITY: Hurricane season (June–November) often means lower prices, fewer crowds, and some of the best deals of the year. Just insure your trip and stay flexible.

The Dutch side has colorful boardwalks, waterfront cafés, and the famous Maho Bay where planes land right over the beach. The French side brings gourmet dining, chic boutiques, and Mediterranean elegance.

Heavy towels — Your resort has them.

Full-Size Toiletries — Bring travel-size basics and your specific must-haves. The rest is dead weight.

Hair tools — Humidity wins, go the low maintenance route.

Fancy Shoes — Heels on sand, cobblestone, and boardwalks are a disaster.

Giant first-aid kit — sunscreen, aloe, band-aids, bug spray. Done.
