Well, Superior Serenity is starting to get its serenity back. Three and a half months ago the cottage was flooded. It took 6 weeks for the cabinets to come in and today they were finally completely installed. Lots more to be done yet but finally moving in the right direction.
As usual lots of serenity by the campfire.

I expected to be back to spending a lot of time at the cottage this summer after finishing rebuilding. I wanted to able to share my beautiful spot with my rental guests, new ones and those who have made memories there in the past.

Not to be once again. There was a destructive flood in the house.
However I have ordered all the new kitchen cabinets and flooring. I still need to find countertops and backsplash tile.
I have a contractor who has already started on replacing insulation in the crawl space. I’m hoping to be able to be back enjoying things in early September.
I will offer rentals in November and after the first of the year.
Start praying to the snow Gods for a good snowmobile season.

Welcome to my all season vacation home on Muskellonge lake in the UP. It is in Deer Park, about 23 east of Grand Marais and 25 west of Newberry. I am within walking distance to Lake Superior for rock hunting and fishing , swimming and kayaking on Muskellonge lake.
There are 3 bedrooms with 2 queen beds and 4 bunk beds, 2 full bathrooms, a completely stocked kitchen, a fire pit, a single and a double kayak and a beautiful covered porch to experience sunsets like you have never seen.
Snowmobile trails are only a short distance and there is a large pole barn to work on or store your sleds. Groomed trails nearby along with seasonal snow covered roads.

Made it to the Yoop for the first time ever in mid April. Usually there is still snow but not the kind you can enjoy.
Figured I better get the Christmas things down 🤭Thanks to Keith and Margie for once again helping with the cottage chores and hauling two truckloads and the RV up so I could bring things from the Brighton house before selling.
No matter the time of year there are still beautiful sunsets though.
