Chef/Owner Lexie Fankhouser aims to delight people through food experiences. Whether that is through a gift meal, a carefully curated in-home dinner party, or a no fuss but healthy and delicious corporate catering, she’s all in.

Lexie learned about food by simply living life. Both of her parents cooked equally in the kitchen and encouraged trying new things. The family food motto was and is “Always eat the weird food!” That laid the foundation for big curiosity for flavors. When she goes anywhere new, her first stops are at a grocery store to take in new ingredients and a place to eat that features local specialties. And luckily, she was able to go to lots of new places! She studied abroad in Australia and experienced the food and culture of the south Pacific. She married a professional hockey player, whose career took them to cities throughout the US and Europe. With 20+ moves, that’s a LOT of good food! She’s lived in Georgia, North Carolina, Florida, Australia, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Germany, Ohio, Austria, Illinois, England, Colorado and Indiana… and add in all of the travel in between! It’s all informed her palate and skill set to be able to bring it together for the benefit of her family, friends and clients. She loves to cook any and everything - from down home favorites to authentic global cuisine to wild interpretations. People will always ask her “What is your favorite thing to cook and eat?” The answer? “Food is my favorite food.” Life is delicious, live it up!

It was so lovely to be included in the Historic Newburgh, Inc. (HNI) Holiday Tour of Homes! What a warm, wonderful and welcoming community we have here.

And of course, if I’m invited, I bring food. To The Table brought homemade hot chocolate, homemade marshmallows and vanilla whipped cream, traditional chocolate mousse and lemon posset, and just a couple of other items.
