Come along as Elizabeth, executive director of Fairmount Center for the Arts, takes us on a wonderful tour of this Destination Geauga member!
Since 1971, Fairmount Center for the Arts has been bringing creativity to life through visual arts, theater, dance, music and creative arts therapies. With locations in Novelty and Chardon Square, this nonprofit offers affordable programs for all ages and abilities.
Elizabeth gave us a great look at everything Fairmount has to offer, and there's so much more than you might expect!

Emily and Carmen welcomed us to 1825 Flower Farm in Burton and showed us around this beautiful Destination Geauga member.
Rooted in Ohio heritage, the farm takes its name from 1825 — the year its historic farmhouse first appeared in county records. Nearly 200 years later, the property continues its agricultural tradition in a colorful new way.
What started in 2020 with rows of dahlias grown for family has blossomed into a flower farm centered on beauty, community and the joy of gathering together. In 2025, the Silo Shop opened, featuring fresh flowers, locally made goods and artisan crafts.
Thank you, Emily and Carmen, for showing us around and sharing the story behind 1825 Flower Farm . It’s another wonderful example of the people and places that make Geauga County special.

Nora Kurtz of the Geauga Amish History Center shares a glimpse into the history, traditions and faith that have shaped our local Amish community. Located at Heritage Marketplace, 15848 Nauvoo Road in Middlefield, the center preserves books, documents and artifacts dating back to the 16th century. Take a few minutes to hear the Amish story and learn more about this important part of Northeast Ohio Amish Country.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
