We want to thank our community for coming out and braving the weather to support the Downtown Bloom Fest event yesterday. Seeing so many people show up, rain and all, meant more than we can say.
While there were some challenges with the rain causing uncertainty like; limiting our ability to decorate, vendor placement, and a couple of territorial geese who insisted people give them snacks or it's ankle-biting time. Despite all of that, one thing became clear: we have something special and Downtown Bloom Fest is here to stay! We are already looking forward to bringing it back to our community next year around this same time.
Thank you to our amazing arts and crafts vendors, musicians, downtown businesses, and the many partners and organizations who showed up and supported Downtown Newport. Newport Farmerโs Market TN, City of Newport, Tennessee, Newport City Hall Staff, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, East TN Artscapes, Keep Cocke County Beautiful Simply Play Music, Angela Huskey State Farm, Newport Street Department Staff, Garden of Eat'n Community Teaching Garden, Cocke County Cradle to Career Coalition, Isaiah 117 House, Rick Foust, The Neighborhood Beer House - Newport and the Newport Main Street Association Board of Directors of Historic Downtown Newport, TN. Because of you all, we were able to showcase the very best of our homegrown local talent and the beauty of the Downtown Newport Riverwalk. โค๏ธ
