Holy jellyfish!

There are a TON of beautiful Victoria’s Crystal Jellies (Aequora victoria) in the water around our dock today.

Fun fact: a group of jellyfish is called a bloom, fluther, or a smack!

One of our favorite things to spot here at our dock- the local family of river otters!

River otters are well adapted for both land and aquatic environments. They love feeding on the slower moving fish, abundant crabs, and other invertebrates found here in Yaquina Bay.

Although they tend to make a bit of a mess on our dock, they’re too cute not to love!
