Anyone else excited for this!!!

When you see the fleet of Large British Ships remember the small Tall Ship Providence captured or sank 40 of them in two years time. "You don't have to be big to make a big impact!"

Providence had a successful life of a 10 year life span in the late 1700's helping to support much change for freedom. Come see, stay and sail on her replica this summer and be a part of history in the present.

It's rare to get tv time but time will be set aside for this show! Enjoy!

Ever dreamed of sleeping on a Pirate Ship! Well she's not really a pirate ship but she plays one in the movies. Through out the summer... Providence presents the opportunity to sleep in the Captain's Quarters. With two crew on board to take care of guests needs, breakfast is cooked and served every morning, swing lines are set up for some fun swim time and guest are encouraged to invite a few friends to entertain before they go home for the last launch. We saw a range of guests from four doctors who loved to kayak to the Newport Jazz Festival, a family with 4 boys, and others. Check it out and put in your reservation for next year. Currently we take 4-6 overnight guests for on the mooring bed and breakfast experiences. Overnight sails and charters also available.

A few photos from some of our Bands on Board on Mooring and Sailing Events. The Beat Drum Line made two performance appearances, on during the day and one during an evening event with their glowing instruments. Channing Griggs made a few appearances in addition along with the all girl Americana Band Sassafras. Steel Tide Performed for our Pirates of the Caribbean Themed Event and Aaron Cote percussionist performed solo for a sailing event. The events were full with our Brands on Board Sponsors, Deep Eddy Vodka and Clement Rhum as well as signature aerial performances by ships mate and director Nichole Raab. Enjoy!

Gloria Merchant of Pirates of Colonial Newport performed a narrative sail, Michael Abrashoff author of It's Your Ship unfortunately was unable to carry out his event though GLS and Michael sent a box of It's Your Ship for some of our special guests. The events were full with our Brands on Board Sponsors, Deep Eddy Vodka and Clement Rhum as well as signature aerial performances by ships mate and director Nichole Raab. Enjoy!

Good Morning and Happy Fall Weekend Everyone!
The season has come to an end in New England and we would like to extend a ship load of thanks to all who have reached out, helped out and sailed on board Providence this summer. We accomplished a lot with some of our tride and true friends and crew, we have brought in and made great relationships with new crew and we brought some great events to you with The Art of Sailing Project. A whirl wind of good in summer 2014... new chain plates, new cat heads, new hull and bottom paint, new hawz pipes, replaced port post, multiple written press write ups, multiple news features, multiple Bands on Board, Brands on Board, Books on Board and Bed and Breakfast Events, Good friends and family sails, special events with teen leadership organizations and a non-profits, family reunions, bachelorette parties... oh my! Stay tuned and some new albums will be uploaded shortly! Special thanks again to captain/owner Thorpe Leeson for making all of this possible. We saw many happy faces this season and will be even bigger and better next season! Fair Winds and Following Seas to all our sailors sailing south! -Cheers from Providence
