Who said traveling can’t be fun, healthy and refreshing all rolled in one❤️

I stopped at one of my favorite restaurants here in San Diego and got this refreshing drink.

Whenever I try travel I love to find vibrant, healthy food and restaurants to refresh and nourish me while I am out all day.

HOW I SET MYSELF UP FOR SUCCESS EACH DAY. ⁠

Don't worry – there's no "easy 9-step morning routine" to follow here. ⁠

I don't believe in complication, but I do believe in setting the tone for my day with certain habits I've honed over the years. ⁠

Here's what I do each day: ⁠

🌱 Night before, ⁠I select my workout clothes to prioritize my daily movement. This is a non-negotiable appointment I make with myself and my body. ⁠

🌱 Wake up and go to bed at the same time everyday so my circadian rhythm (sleep and stress hormones) stays balanced and supports my body and lifestyle. ⁠

🌱 No social media, emails or internet during the first hour of waking up. I use this time for prayer, Bible reading, simple journal writing and to plan my day. ⁠

🌱 Daily movement in the AM. I rotate during the week between, pilates, Barre3, gentle strength training and an outdoor walk or run⁠. ⁠

🌱 Eat within 2 hours after waking up to fuel and nourish my body. This has been a big game changer for my body and stress hormones after doing intermittent fasting for several years. More on that at another time... ⁠

🌱 At every meal I eat a high quality protein, organic greens, healthy fat and a high fiber carbohydrate. This helps prevent cravings by balancing blood sugar and hunger hormones. ⁠

💦 Drink 2-3 liters (64-100 oz) a water every day to keep my body hydrated and energized. I add collagen and powdered super greens to 1 liter for a nutritional boost during the day. ⁠

3 SIGNS THAT YOU'RE BURNED OUT ⁠

I don't like seeing clients coming to me on their last breath of energy, struggling to drop the extra pounds with their stress hormones out of wack. ⁠

Oftentimes, they're burned out and don't know what nutrition and lifestyle shifts to implement so they can show up feeling fit, vibrant and healthy. ⁠

So to avoid burnout, here are 3 signs to watch out for: ⁠

1️⃣ Neglecting personal needs, such as regular exercise, ⁠
getting 7-8 hours of sleep and consuming adequate amounts of water throughout your day ⁠

2️⃣ Skipping breakfast or any meal for that matter and not eating enough because you are so busy you work through the day⁠

3️⃣ No shut off button...being preoccupied with work when not working, don't know when to stop...causing low energy and feeling completely spent. ⁠

HEALTHY HABITS OF MY TOP CLIENTS. ⁠

I'm a bit of a detective and I've noticed that my most successful clients tend to have a few similar habits, even though they are super busy, manage their home and run a business with a to-do list a mile long: ⁠

⏰ Have a consistent time they wake up and go to bed every day⁠

🕖 Have a SIMPLE healthy morning routine they look forward to daily⁠

❤️ Workout in the AM even if it's only for 15-30 minutes. This is a non-negotiable and anchors their day⁠

🌱 Eat within 2 hours of waking up ⁠

💦 Start their day with water and stay hydrated throughout the day⁠

🍋 Have a nutrient-dense smoothie as their first meal ⁠

🥬 Prioritize high quality protein, organic greens, healthy fats and a high fiber carb at every meal⁠

😴 Have a SIMPLE calm evening routine that works with, not against their circadian rhythm and stress hormones. ⁠

What this means for you is you don't have to wait to work with me to start building healthy habits today.⁠

Let’s get real about exercise 😅

The truth is when I talk to busy women, they know that regular exercise is important part of feeling fit, vibrant and confident. BUT finding time to exercise with a to-do list a mile long well that’s another story.

So, let’s change that.

Here are 3 things you can do right now so daily exercise is not on your should-do but your must-do list.

1️⃣ When your daily routine is consistently changing, it’s very easy for your desire to exercise to take a back step. No matter how busy your lifestyle is, you must have your workout firmly scheduled on your calendar. Just like an important business meeting…this is a meeting is commitment with yourself!

Let everyone know that this is a non-negotiable time. This is one area I help all my clients with and it’s a game changer.

2️⃣ Skip the gym and workout at home or if you love to walk or run then go out your front door and use your neighborhood. Don’t get me wrong, when traveling, I am the first one to sign up for a bootcamp, SoulCycle or Barre3 studio class to change things up.

But our brains are hard wired to take the path of least resistance, the low hanging fruit. So work with your brain and make your daily workout an easy yes!

3️⃣ For busy women, it's best to plan workouts in the morning whenever possible. Mornings tends to be the time of day you have the least distractions and time to enjoy your workouts. Then you can focus on whatever comes about during your busy day.

You won’t get to the end of your day and struggle with a decision about whether you have the time or desire to work out.

These are just 3 changes, but there are more.
