This year's Family Movie Night will be held at the Nitro Living Memorial Park on 2nd Avenue. The event is free and the early arrivals will receive a free Gino's Pizza & Spaghetti House personal pizza while supplies last. The folks at Nitro First Baptist Church will be serving up free water and popcorn.

The 2026 Run For The Wall motorcycle ride will be arriving in Nitro, Wednesday, May 20 around 5:15 pm. The 300 riders will be escorted along 1st Ave from the interstate, turning up 21st St. and parking on 2nd Ave in front on the Nitro Living Memorial Park. A ceremony will be held at the stage at 5:30 pm. The riders will depart Nitro for the state capitol complex at 8 am Thursday.

The cross-country ride is an annual motorcycle ride with veterans, friends and family. The ride is to call for an accounting of all Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action. The ride also honors the memory of those Killed in Action from all wars and to support all military personnel all over the world.
