Labor Day Festivities in Nome:

🛁 12:00 - The Great Bathtub Race takes place on Front Street. This year is the 50th Anniversary!

🦆 2:00 - The Annual Duck Race Fundraiser begins as hundreds of ducks are released into the Snake River near Bering Air.

This year, the NANSEN Cruise Ship will be in port. The Carrie M. McLain Museum will be open from 9:00AM - 5:00PM. Craft Vendors are invited to set up in the Foster Building!

The Visitor Center will also be open 9:00AM-5:00PM. We’re excited to welcome visitors and connect with locals throughout another fun holiday in Nome! ✨

TOMORROW! Please welcome the Roald Amundsen guests and crew as they arrive in Nome once again!

Norwegian polar explorer Roald Amundsen first completed the Northwest Passage in 1906. 120 years later, explorers continue to begin and/or end their Northwest Passage journey through the Port of Nome.

We can expect to see passengers exploring the town from 9:00-5:00 tomorrow. Thank you Nome Discovery Tours for organizing a fun and exciting day for visitors! 🚢
