Just wrapped up ASTA Virtual Expedition Cruise Week, and I’m leaving inspired! 🌎🚢

One of the things I love most about being a travel advisor is that there’s always something new to learn. This week gave me the opportunity to dive deeper into the world of expedition cruising—from the Arctic and Antarctica to the Galápagos and other incredible destinations that truly go Beyond the Bucket List.

I invest my time in training like this because my clients deserve more than someone who simply books vacations. You deserve a travel advisor who stays current, continues learning, and can confidently guide you to the experience that’s right for you.

Thank you, ASTA, for another fantastic week of education. I can’t wait to use what I’ve learned to help my clients discover some of the most extraordinary places on Earth.

The footage in this video is real. It’s not meant to scare you—it’s meant to remind you why respecting wildlife is so important.

As you can see, the grandfather did many things right, yet he was still at risk simply because of how close the wildlife was. That’s why it’s so important to always prioritize your safety and know your surroundings.

In the case of the woman with the moose, choosing to film a close-up selfie put her in an unnecessarily dangerous situation. Wild animals aren’t posing for our cameras—they’re simply behaving like wild animals.

If you’re traveling with kids, it’s also important to review safety standards before your trip and again once you’re on location. It’s okay to repeat yourself—reinforcing these guidelines helps everyone stay aware and safe.

One of the best parts of visiting our beautiful National Parks is seeing wildlife in its natural habitat. Give animals plenty of space, observe from a safe distance, and enjoy the experience responsibly. Respect wildlife, follow park guidelines, and you’ll greatly increase your chances of having a safe and memorable adventure.
