The Mancave Medic, LLC - Kirk Hamer This is my small business dedicated to repairing and restoring Pinball, Arcade, and Jukeboxes. Just send me message or call for details. Current Rates.

I got into this as a hobby. Now I am doing this on the side. Take a look around at some of the work I have done. If you are interested in having me work on a machine of yours just contact me via e-mail or give me a call. I charge $20/for in home repairs. The First Hour is $25 regardless of how long the initial visit takes, it is $20 an hour for each additional hour. I have been working in the elec

tronics and mechanical field for almost 20 years. I do some board repairs down to component level. If you have something for me to restore, please contact me for more details.

I have recently received multiple emails and phone calls from a local story that hit the news. The story is based off of my personal collection and the hobby in general. As much as I like repairing games and bringing joy back into other people's lives by repairing their games, I simply don't have the means to do this right now.

I appreciate those of you that follow my work on this page, but I am not and have not operated as the Mancave Medic in a few years. I keep this page up for the potential future where I may operate as the Mancave medic again.

Happy Gaming!

It's been a crazy few years. I'm still around but focused more on family and life. I haven't done much (if anything at all) for The Mancave Medic LLC, in quite a while. I hope to keep this on the back burner for when/if life calms down a bit. I love this hobby and working on games. Maybe I will get back to this in the future. In the meantime enjoy life, don't let your passions control you, control your passions.

I've been stagnant the last year or so due to other obligations. I still repair coin op related items for others from time to time. Stay tuned to see what I may restore or simply make functional something that has long been forgotten....thanks for checking in.

Austin helped me put on new side rails and new legs. Man, this pin is looking awesome. I can't wait to have it done.

Not so proud of the backbox. It doesn't look bad from a distance but up close is frustrating. Also, the stars are a bit skewed, that's what you get for buying from Jeff Mcafee at Classic arcades. I think he reprinted the stencil off an actual pictue he took but the camera was at an angle. Lessons learned.

Tiedous process but it if I ever want to put DC LED's in this pinball, I have to make sure the sockets are wired polarity correct. When these were made in the 70's they used 47 or 44 incandescent bulbs so polarity didn't matter. And they often soldered lamp sockets in either way. Some new LED' s actually do care about polarity. So the ground wire has to go to the case of the socket instead of the center of the socket. The one in the picture is backwards. The center of the socket (positive according to LED's) is soldered o ground.

Tech tip: to assist in removing rust, beer, or old soda from some of these old pinball lockdown bars and other parts, build a trough out of a gutter and soak the parts in rust remover. Scrub with a metal brush, then wipe down. The parts look and function much better.
