Here’s to the dads who show up, who give bear hugs, carry tired kids on their shoulders, and make them feel safe and strong.

And a special shoutout to my husband, the most devoted, steady, and loving father to our children. Watching you be their dad is one of the greatest gifts of my life. 📸 Nine Years, One Beautiful Story 📸

I’ve been photographing Veronica and Matt for just over 9 years; starting when they were expecting their first baby, Drew. Since then, I’ve had the joy of capturing so many milestones as their family has grown… and I can truly relate, because my own family life has grown right alongside theirs.

This session was full of colorful moments, but for today’s post, I wanted to showcase some good old black and whites. There’s something so timeless and honest about them. 🖤

Their youngest, Devin, is now two and an he’s absolute cutie. His energy, curiosity, and sweet smile were such a joy to capture. These are the kinds of sessions that remind me why I love what I do.

We bought a condo just over a year ago, and one of the things I personally love about it is the open space we have in our “backyard”. We get out there almost daily to water our plants, dig in the dirt, play, run around, look for treasures and be stilly! I’ve used this open field for photo sessions a few times so far and I love that it gives that open space and “big sky” vibe.
