Been catching lots of flounder last few
Trips , few keepers . Caught a dozen couple days ago with 3 keepers . Looking for the 6-8lber that spit the hook at the boat from last week , that one is still stinging , but she’s out here !! Come and get it. .

Well hell. Fished the first flounder tournament of the year and we didn’t win. . Caught around 15 flounder , 2 keepers we weighed in in the live release tourney . Did have a nice speckled trout around 21”s that we released , not an eligible fish . Had a few nice fish pull off but none like the winner fish that was caught at 6.5 lbs !! What a monster for April . Fun day , but you know , sucks not placing . 3 more tournaments coming , hope to fish a couple more this year in Murrells Inlet Sc. Spring 2026 fishjng has begun . !! Redfish and Flounder have been main catches w/ an occasional Speckled Trout and irritating 1/2
Lb Bluefish up to 3 lbs. Bait is a little behind from last year and the major influx of Flounder hasn’t peaked yet , but everyday getting better. . Next few weeks should be getting really good .

Absolutely incredible
Fishjng this afternoon. . Worked a real
Estate appt this am and hit the water around noon. Caught about 35 lbs of Jumbo Shrimp in my cast net in just 2-3 feet of water . Never seen jumbo shrimp in the creeks like this . Just amazing . I was throwing a 7 ft net with numerous rips, if I had a 10 ft net I coulda got a 100lbs. Meanwhile , after about 20 throws , I had enough and went fishing. . Too many redfish , everywhere !!! 6-10 lbs and caught them every cast until I left them biting . Caught a 25” and 22” speckled Trout , couple Sheepshead , big 25-27” black drum , and an 18” Flounder , at least 30 Bluefish . Hated using these 7” shrimp for bait , but damn , they were firing them up !!!! Hated leaving to go back to dock , had to leave em biting and barely made it home before dark . Cleaned fish in the dark , which I do not prefer. . I’ll post some videos later I took , but wow ! Just incredible . The super moon Full moon was today , and it’s going to rain next few days so I think that added some urgency to the bite . Just amazing . Loving Murrells Inlet Fishing. . We’ve got about 4-7 more weeks of great fishing on the good weather days until it gets too cold and slow . Doesn’t seem possible it will slow down after today though .
