Some people spend their October weekends going over budgets and sorting the garage. In Conway, grown adults spend them pushing coffins down Laurel Street as fast as their legs will carry them. 🎃⚰️

The Graveyard Grand Prix Coffin Races come back to downtown Conway on Saturday, October 17. Teams race homemade, human-powered coffins, there are prizes for the fastest and the most creative, and nobody seems to mind that the vehicles were built for a much slower final journey. Last year's first race sold out every team spot and brought thousands of spectators to the curb, so don't count on a front-row seat if you roll in late.

It's only one part of Conway's City of Halloween. That's about 5,000 pumpkin buckets, skeletons waving from balconies, ghost walks by the river, and a whole town that decided October should last all month. It's about 40 minutes from your oceanfront rental, which is just enough time to argue about whose turn it is to lie in the coffin.
