The Board of Directors for Special Moments Travel had their annual meeting last night. They did a quick review of 2025 and made plans for 2026 and beyond.
While on a FABULOUS Collette tour of Scotland and Ireland, which included the Military Tattoo in Edinburgh, I found out that my mother was hospitalized due to a fall. As soon as possible, we made our way home to be with family. (If you’re unfamiliar with the Military Tattoo, I highly encourage you to read about it. With the Edinburgh Castle as a backdrop, different plattoons from the Scottish military honor the reigning monarch. It had been on my bucket list for YEARS!)
Consequently, a group on an AmaWaterways Rhine River cruise which we were to host in October, was cancelled due to Mom’s illness and subsequent death. We were heartbroken by the events and thankful our guests were seasoned travelers and did well without their leader. David and I worked with AmaWaterways and squeezed in a “make-up” cruise with them, this time on the Douro River in Portugal. We had never been to Portugal before and we were thoroughly enchanted by the people, the cruise line (always WONDERFUL), and the culture.
For 2026, we will host a small group on a Transatlantic cruise from Southampton, England to Galveston, TX. Lots of sea days, but LOTS of fun! IF interested, please let me know.
2027?! Already planning ahead for that. Have you ever thought of Croatia? We have a group going. If you’re looking for a different destination and some small group fun, reach out to me. We still have some space available.
We are blessed beyond reason and so thankful for our faithful clients. Here’s to 2026 and MORE!
