A full length feature film was shot at the pool house and it's so good. The premier was back in January and (with the help of my husband) I made an epoxy wet paper bag corset and we got a 90s limo for the after party at The Garter Toss.

There is one more showing in theaters on June 15 in Woodbury, MN. You can also find it on Amazon Prime.

I have never been to a gala. I'm not even sure how to say the word. But if I win either of these, I'm going to that Galla/Gayla wearing some crazy ass s**t and will jump out of my seat like I won the lottery.

I'll be making a small batch of these sweatshirts. They are $40 and $10 from each sweatshirt will go to Anderson United Middle School in Mpls, where my cousin teaches.

Today is my mom's birthday. She would have been 69 but she died from breast cancer at age 52. I saw a TikTok today and the guy was talking about how old white women are really holding it down in Minnesota right now, pushing back against the ICE bullsh*t. My mom was as kind and as warm as you could get, but she would have been one of those old white women, out there daily.
For Obama's first election, she and I took the day off work and drove around to gas stations and businesses on the east side of St Paul to see if folks needed a ride to the polls. She got to see Obama win and then passed away a few months later. The contrast of Obama becoming president to now having ICE terrorizing our state is crazy.
Cheers to my mom, our wonderful immigrant community and a lot of tough Minnesotans 💪

Tomorrow, June 6, is the the soft opening of my Wedding Chapel, .

I am excited but no where near where I would like to be for showing off the space.

I started looking for a wedding chapel location long before I was pregnant and this perfect spot just happened to shake out while I was very pregnant (38 weeks yesterday). So not ideal timing. And then last week my dad was taken to the ER with life threatening meningitis. He is going to be okay but still in the hospital.

I'm exhausted and wish that I had a more complete product. So if you come tomorrow, which you should, just know that the Garter Toss is still on its glow up journey 💖

Plus, next door is the most beautiful store, . And it's the first North St Paul Car Show of the year! As part of the car show, there will be a palm reader set up in front of the chapel.

I will have a flyer tomorrow with pricing and info that I will post afterwards and eventually put on a website 🤦‍♀️

2 week countdown until I really have to have my sh*t together. Come through, it's gonna be a hoot.

A few things to note,
-there will be a car show going on in the street in front of the shop. NSP does them every Friday in the summer and they are lovely. Cool cars, live music, food trucks.
Parking... there are two free public lots behind the chapel, on Seppala Blvd and Margaret Street. There is residential street parking on either side of 7th St (the main st).
- Also The Garter Toss will not be in its final form 😆 I want to get the doors open for folks to get a feel for the space and I'll continue to jazz it up.
