*** TURTLE TALKS START TOMORROW AT 9AM ***

The Topsail Turtle Project, a division of the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, will kick off weekly Turtle Talks at North Topsail Beach starting Tuesday, June 3rd at 9:00am.

Turtle Talks will take place weekly on Tuesdays at 9am here at Town Hall, 2008 Loggerhead Court from June 3rd through the last week of August. There will be four presenters each week! Please join us to learn how you can protect sea turtles! Residents and visitors are welcome!

Turtle season is upon us so please do your part to protect the Sea Turtles:
● Turn off outdoor lights facing the ocean (Close shades and drapes).
● Consider changing your outdoor bulbs to turtle friendly lighting. Available for purchase at Town Hall.
● Fill in holes and smooth out sandcastles to prevent nesting turtles from getting trapped
● Remove ALL items from the beach daily
● Dispose of trash AND cigarette butts responsibly

This Thursday, May 22nd, is the opening day of the Topsail Beach Craft Market! The market has an awesome lineup of talented vendors weekly!
It is every Thursday through September 4th, with the exception of no market May 29th. The hours are 9 to 1. We are located at 802 S. Anderson Blvd., Topsail Beach. There is free parking for the market in the Assembly Building parking lot.

Potential Tropical Cyclone Four Information. Impacts may occur as early as Tuesday or Wednesday. Our first briefing is emphasizing that heavy rain, flooding and rip currents are the main threats as of now. In addition, our impacts may last a few days especially if the potential storm slows down or even stalls near our area.

Do NOT let your guard down based on an intensity forecast of a Tropical Storm. Check back for updates as this may change AND, regardless of storm intensity, heavy rain is possible.

This is great news, and piece of mind for vacationers. We’ve found lost dogs on the beach, and even lost ours briefly which was so upsetting.

It is summer and time for......SEA TURTLES! Come visit us! Our July hours are Monday - Friday 12 PM - 4 PM, Saturdays 11 AM -3 PM & Sundays 11 AM - 2 PM. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED!! Please purchase your tickets at least two weeks in advance! In the summer months we sell out every day!



This conservation work for protected sea turtles at and on Topsail Island is authorized by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission, ES Permit 24ST05
