Great evening!! Thank you, Brewery at Four Star Farms for an awesome night!
What do beer, hops, and the American Revolution have in common?
Find out tonight at A Hoppy History: Beer and Revolution in Early American History, a free community discussion in the taproom from 6 to 7pm.
Malcolm Purinton, Assistant Professor at Northeastern University and author of Globalization in a Glass: The Rise of Pilsner Beer through Technology, Taste, and Empire, will explore the history of hops in Massachusetts, the role of taverns in shaping early America, and how beer connects to the nationβs coming 250th anniversary. It is a fascinating look at our past, rooted right here in New England.
The event is presented in collaboration with the Dickinson Memorial Library and is open to everyone.
Food is available as well, with a pop-up from from 5 to 8pm. Their menu features the New England Dip with smoked turkey and pickled cranberry slaw, Ye Olde Handpie with honeynut squash and apple, Smoked Tofu Salad, Grits Fritters, and RC Crisps with malt vinegar aioli. Come early, grab dinner, and settle in for a great evening at the brewery.
Discussion begins at 6pm. Food is available starting at 5pm.
