Morocco Update

The earthquake in Morocco may have rattled the country, but the remote villages in the Atlas Mountains were the most impacted region. There was minimal damage elsewhere, and the country is currently operating as usual.

In fact, we have travelers there right now, and the MJT team will be visiting in November.

In short, going to Morocco is the single best way to help the country and its people. If this is a destination on your bucket list, NOW is a great time to plan your adventure.

Wait…I need a Visa for Europe now!? Not exactly, but let us explain.

1. It’s not technically a Visa. Think of it as more of a digital customs form for enhanced security. An $8 fee is summited to the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) along with much of the same information required to acquire a passport.

2. Once your online approval is received, it’s valid for 3 years or until your passport expires and includes multiple entries throughout the EU.

3. The official launch of the new ETIAS requirements will happen sometime in 2024 and will pertain to ALL US citizens. Although most applications are expected to be processed within minutes, it’s recommended you apply online prior to 30 days of your departure.

4. It’s not uncommon for countries to adopt a system of pre-arrival approval, and the 10-minute process shouldn’t dissuade anyone from their dream vacations!
