🚢 My honest take on Carnival Cruise Line…
Listen, Carnival has a reputation. 😄
After hearing ALL the opinions, jokes, horror stories and “you couldn’t pay me to cruise Carnival” comments, I went into this sailing fully prepared to come home with some thoughts.
And I do.
I loved it. 😅🤷🏼♀️
Was it perfect? No. A little chaotic sometimes? Absolutely. Did I eat an unreasonable amount of pizza and close down the nightclub? Also yes.
So here’s my no-sugarcoating review — the good, the crowded & the “well… now I know.” 😉
🚗 Getting on & off: SO organized. Parking, embarkation and disembarkation were easy and smooth.
🎤 Cruise director: LOVED her! So fun and friendly that I actually looked forward to her announcements.
🍕 Food & service: We ate GOOD. Plenty of options, great service and prompt room service. Apparently I’m Team Pizza. Sorry, Guy. 😆 One of my favorite parts was getting to know the staff — they were wonderful!
☀️ Crowds: Our sailing was FULL and sometimes the pool felt it. Other times? Practically empty. My tip: do the opposite of everyone else. 😄 Pool packed? Go eat. Everyone eating? Pool time. We also met some awesome people along the way!
🏝️ Celebration Key: Clean, beautiful, open and plenty to do whether you want to relax or be in the middle of everything.
🎤 Entertainment: Hit or miss depending on what you’re looking for, but we loved comedy, karaoke, game shows and the piano bar. And obviously danced the night away 90s night
🛏️ Cabin: Clean, spacious and SO convenient to the pools. The catch? We could hear them cleaning the pool deck above us. 😅
File that under “the more you know…”
Or better yet… the more your travel agent knows. 😉
Cabin location matters. Ship matters. Sailing matters. And knowing what kind of vacation YOU want matters.
Would I sail Carnival again? Absolutely.
Fun, casual, a little chaotic, full of personality and honestly just a really good time.
Don’t knock it until you cruise it. 😉🚢
And book with a travel agent who actually travels. 💕
