The Chippewa Lake Water Ski Show Team is Ohio's only competitive water ski show team. Their "home lake" is in Medina, 1/2 hour from Cleveland and Akron metro areas. The Team is actively recruiting new members, and if interested please visit our website www.chippewaskiteam.com to learn more. Prospective members do not need any water skiing experience and is open to all ages. Personal flotation devi

ces and enthusiasm are all that is needed to join. The spring, summer and early fall are full of skiing for singles and families who want to learn or improve their skills. Hour long shows are provided all summer long, 7 PM at Emerald Lake 3196 Clark Mill Road, Norton, Ohio and are free to the public. Practices occur in the evenings and on weekends. There is a Show team which competes, and a Developmental team for younger and newer skiers. The Developmental team also produces two shows a year. The winter provides a great time to get acquainted with the Team, and learn the basics of show skiing during regularly scheduled indoor practices. There is something for everyone: strength, speed and beauty are all part of this sport. Consequently, there are many types of water skiing: slalom, barefoot, doubles, swivel, ballet, wakeboard, jumps, hydrofoil, tricks and show skis. Come find out more!

It’s time to register for the 2026 Chippewa Lake Waterski Team Learn to Ski Clinic! Join us on June 6, 2026...it will be here before we know it!

This is one of our most popular events of the summer—and spots go FAST. Head to the link 🔗 below to lock in your place on the water.

As part of the movement, this event is all about sharing the experience. Bring a friend, a family member, or anyone who’s never tried it before and give them their first ride—you might just hook them for life. Each individual participating should expect to be there for about 1 hour from start to finish with fitting for equipment, land instruction, shallow water, and then skiing.

No experience needed—just show up ready for sunshine, smiles, and a whole lot of fun on the lake. We can’t wait to meet you!

This summer, the Chippewa Lake Water Ski Show Team is bringing a brand-new show to the lake… and let’s just say it has a very small-town, big-personality vibe. 😉

Introducing our 2026 theme: “Chipp's Creek!”

Loosely inspired by the iconic comedy Schitt’s Creek, we’re adding a little sass, a lot of laughs, and plenty of over-the-top characters to the water this season. Expect drama, ridiculous fun, and maybe a few moments where you’ll be saying… “Ew… David!” 😄

Get ready for high-energy pyramids, creative acts, and the kind of show that proves even a quirky little town (or lake 😉) can put on something spectacular.
