It's been a busy week getting ready for the Vacation Stay season to really kick into high gear.
First, my husband, son-in-law and grandson removed the old paver walkway to the front deck and installed a really nice silo block walkway. It won't crack like a poured concrete walkway might. It's a great improvement! Thanks guys!
Secondly, the grandchildren picked up sticks that had fallen on the lawn over the winter and stacked them near the firepit. My husband brought down a big load of local wood for guests to use in the firepit now that it's warmer.
Thirdly, Nicole and Rob Slattery and their family spent three weekday nights this past week in trade for the new pictures Nicole took for both of my vacation stay listings. She's a very talented professional photographer! Nicole Elizabeth Photography, LaCrosse, WI.
Rob replaced a piece of lattice on the front of the deck that was damaged. It was a task on my "to-do" list for awhile. He also switched around some furniture for me. They loved staying at the house and Nicole said she had a great opportunity to relax. Thanks for all your help Nicole and Rob!
Finally, my granddaughters, Claire and Antonia, helped me switch around several beds. I got a queen bed for the twin/double room at Whispering Pines Farmhouse Vacation Stay. So, the girls moved out the twin and double beds. They delivered the double bed to New Haven Manor. With the newly finished all-purpose room garage, I actually can create even more sleeping space in there with the addition of a double bed. So, when my guests have a full house, this gives them yet another sleeping option. Thanks for all your help, girls!
