As of now, the Lake Erie charter trips we will run for the 2023 season will be done from a client call list. Our other business is growing too rapidly to book in advance. If you would like to be put on the list, let us know and we will get you added. There is no guarantee we will get you out, just that you will be on the call list. When we see the chance to work a trip in, we will start running down the list and see who is interested/available. Of course, all trips will still be weather dependent, which changes plans a lot, especially in the spring. These trips will be a week or less notice, sometimes the day before. This could change as the year progresses but this is our current plan. We have a network of other captains we work with that we can refer you to in the event we can't get you out. Thanks!

8-19-22 Lake Erie Walleye Report
Fenwick Marina - Oak Harbor, OH

A hot sunny August evening turned out to be some equally hot walleye action! We set lines around 5:15pm. The wind was supposed to be south and was blowing decently out of the ESE. Wasn't terrible but was rougher than forecasted! Big surprise. 😂 We found a couple schools of fish in tight and started boxing fish right away. Lots of bait balls around! Flicker Shad 7's in Atomic Blueberry and Storm Chaser were best with Rattle Tots right there with em. 30-40' back on both cranks. Speed was 2.3-2.7mph. Firetiger Rapala J-7s caught a handful of nice fish behind the size zero dipsy on a 3 setting, 30 back. Couldn't buy a bite on anything else but those three lures. Landed 2 different walleye quads, which was absolutely awesome and they were all keepers 👍👌. Got our 18 fish limit in short order and released many more on the cleanup. The algae wasn't bad but the water had a distinct green tint. Floating weeds were a pain off/on but not unbearable. 7-15-22 Lake Erie Walleye Fishing Report
Fenwick Marina - Oak Harbor, OH
Left the dock as the sun was coming up. Awesome sunrise. That view alone made the trip! Ran around 9 miles and set lines. Best bite was first thing this morning. It slowed down around 9am in the area we were fishing. Rapala J-7s RULED the day. 90% of our fish came on them. We tried everything in the box today and we couldn't get any other program going besides the J-7s. Size 0 Dipsy Divers on 3 settings 45-55 back and Size 1 Tadpoles behind boards 35-55 back were our best programs. Both divers pulling the J7s. Bandits caught a few keepers at 50 back. Couldn't get anything else to fire. Got a few doubles but otherwise we had a slow pick off and on. Caught 20 shorts, countless white perch and 4 YELLOW PERCH while trolling 😁 Didn't have minnows with us, but if we did, we would have dropped perch rigs in that area for sure. Good sign for perch season! Water cooled off and was down to 77 degrees. Speed was slower today. 2.4-2.6mph. Water clarity was great. Sporadic minor spots of algae blooms but nothing major. Floating weeds were an issue off/on but not terrible. SE wind was kicking up as the afternoon approached and we got our fish and headed in.

🧨 7-3-22 Lake Erie Walleye Report 🧨
Fenwick Marina - Oak Harbor, Ohio

Quick evening trip last night. The action was hot and heavy. Between 630pm-8pm was best and it was absolutely NUTS during that span of time! Fished in shallow tonight. Speed was 2.7-3.2mph. East wind was rolling pretty good but was manageable. Rapala J-7s behind size zero dipsy divers on a 3 setting 40-45 back was our best setup. Rattle Tots, Hot n Tots, Flicker Minnow 9s and J-7s behind Tadpoles all took fish. A fire tiger Hot n Tot caught the 2 biggest fish, which were released. Both around 25". Another good grade of fish tonight. About 6 shorts and 6 sheepshead. 25 or so keepers hit the net and many got to swim away. Another really nice perch in the mix. We have been getting at least one perch each trip lately, which is a good sign! Beautiful evening on the water. Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

7-2-22 Lake Erie Walleye Report
Fenwick Marina - Oak Harbor, Ohio

Pushed our start time out today as the Toledo light Buoy showed 18mph NW winds at 5am. We set lines around 9:15am and the residual rollers were fading. By 1030am or so, she was laid down almost flat. As soon as we got lines in the water, it was game on. Started fast and furious but slowed after the 12th keeper walleye. Made a move out to deeper water and found another pod of fish. This pod was hugging bottom, so we ran our lures down tight to the bottom. Didn't take long and we finished the boat limit. Rapala J-7s and Rattle Tots were our best today with small spoons coming in third. Bandits caught a few and so did flicker Minnow 9s. Size zero dipsy divers on 2 settings with J-7s 35 back in shallow and 65 back out deeper. Rattle Tots 50-65 back in shallow and 125-135' back out deeper. J-7s behind 1 oz Tadpoles 40' back and 85' back. 2.6-3mph, 80 degree water temp. Nice grade of fish, about 8 shorts, a handful of sheep, 1 big perch and a fat ole catfish made for a great day on the water. Book a trip with us to have your own Lake Erie Walleye Adventure!
