Not much better than a parade in February with weather forecast in the 60's. What are your favorite things about a parade? The Mardi Gras one at Oak Island has many golf cart entries which is pretty cool.

FEBRUARY 21, 2026 โ€ข MARDI GRAS

Today is ONE WEEK UNTIL the Mardi Gras Parade and Festival!!!!

The Parade starts at 11:00 AM near SE 64th Street (heading West down Oak Island Drive) -- with the Festival going from NOON โ€“ 4:00 PM in the Middleton Park Complex. There will be a pet costume contest at Middleton Park at 2:00 PM located at the stage.
Make plans now to attend this fun-filled, unofficial โ€œkick offโ€ for the Townโ€™s many events this year!
