This weekend, we had the honor of helping a family say goodbye with a heartfelt ash scattering ceremony off the coast. After the ashes were released, flowers were gently placed in the water in remembrance.

🐶 Paws Aboard! 🐾⚓

Last year, we had a few canine passengers join us on the water, and let’s just say—they were naturals at boating! Our VP of Hospitality, Miss Angie, gave each of them a warm welcome (after a proper sniff check, of course), and they all proved to be excellent first mates.

🐾 Some highlights from our four-legged guests:
🚤 Enjoyed the sea breeze like seasoned pros.
🐕 Kept a close watch for dolphins—alerting the crew with excited tail wags.
🍖 Mastered the art of politely begging for snacks.
💦 Some even took a dip at the sandbar!

5 More Minutes Charters was honored to scatter ashes at sea this past weekend, providing a peaceful farewell along the waters of Oak Island and Southport. For those unable to attend, we offer an unattended memorial service, ensuring your loved one is laid to rest with dignity and care.

Captain Darren personally oversees each service, and we provide a certificate with GPS coordinates, photos, and a video to share with family.
