The Crow’s nest is flanked by two sunken bedrooms with vaulted ceilings. Great for teens or those seeking a quiet coastal retreat where they can lounge with a large SmartTV and views of the Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway. All bedrooms offer ocean views, a unique feature designed by the original owner and architect, Thomas Thurman Hayes. As an early beach cottage, this special Ocean Front location offers a rare close proximity to the beach and panoramic views of the Oak Island coastline. Ada Båsk and I made it back safely from Oak Island NC after our adventure to check on OhMyStars! She will never want to visit again!!! Very fortunate that we just had to dry out the lower level spaces. High water mark was 12 inches. Very glad we didn’t get inundated with sand, foam and sea grass like years past.

Lesson Learned: Sopping wet co****le bean bags dry great in the oven @ 170 degrees, bake for 8 hours

Lots of wet stuff but no damage to dunes.

Driving was a nightmare. Took 8+ hours to weave thru the collapsed roads.

6 years ago yesterday, Leroy, Mary, Rebecca and me did the same journey after Hurricane Florence!!

Now I understand Salt Life and still Love it!!

Hurricane Isaias renovations continue. Had to raise HVAC and Water Heater to the main floor level for flood insurance reasons. New Electrical service and plumbing complete. Pilings still in limbo due to conflict with my structural engineer vs FEMAs engineer - Not Surlrised!!!! Fortunately the house has been rentable since Sept. OhMyStars will be shiny and bright in the Spring just in time for new season!
