Meet the late, and truly great, Dr. Ben Jones in this video from July of 1992 when Ben was "officially" made the "Mayor of Badwater." He discusses his medical profession in the region, and you see him participating in the 1992 Badwater 135, which had 14 competitors with 13 finishing. (Click the link in the first comment to watch the video you YouTube!)

This was Ben's second of three Badwater 135 finishes. He and his wife Denise Jones - herself a three-time finisher - were inducted into the Badwater Hall of Fame in 2007.

This video was provided by fellow Badwater Hall of Fame members Richard Benyo and Rhonda Provost. Thank you to them!

Ben's life will be celebrated at 1000am on Saturday, May 16 in the Lone Pine High School gymnasium. All are welcome.
