🍁🚂 A Picture-Perfect Day in the Mountains! 🍂❤️

As another wonderful Yes! Go Travel adventure comes to an end, I find myself reflecting on all the smiling faces, laughter, and memories made today!

There’s something special about watching your travelers enjoy an experience you’ve worked so hard to put together. Judging by those smiles, I’d say our four-hour train ride through the breathtaking Nantahala Gorge was a HUGE success! 🚂❤️

For me, the peaceful views of the water winding through the mountains were absolutely beautiful, and Mother Nature certainly didn’t disappoint! The brilliant colors of fall were on full display, reminding me once again why autumn is my favorite time of year to travel. 🍁🍂

But as beautiful as the scenery was, the best part of my day was seeing my Yes! Go Travelers enjoying every moment.

Beautiful scenery, wonderful people, and memories that will last long after the train pulls into the station.

Another adventure in the books, and another reminder of why I love what I do!

Fall Foliage - North Carolina

🍁🚂 Exploring the Hidden Treasures of Bryson City, North Carolina! 🏔️

One of the things I love most about traveling is discovering new places along the way!

Believe it or not, this was my very first visit to beautiful Bryson City, North Carolina! Naturally, my curiosity got the best of me, and I couldn’t resist the opportunity to explore a few of the local attractions.

My little sightseeing adventure included three unique stops: 🐠 a fascinating aquarium, 🎣 a fly fishing museum, and 🚂 a delightful train museum located right at the railroad depot!

Each attraction offered something completely different, from discovering the wonders of aquatic life to learning about the area’s rich fly fishing traditions and stepping back in time to appreciate the history of railroading.

What impressed me most was how much this charming mountain town has to offer beyond its breathtaking scenery and famous railroad!

As a travel planner, I’m always looking for those hidden gems that make a destination extra special. And let me tell you, Bryson City certainly has a few treasures worth discovering!

Sometimes the best adventures aren’t just about the destination. They’re about taking a little extra time to explore what’s waiting around the corner!

Mexican Change In Minor Travel Documents

This article made me stop and think my decision to become a notary was a smart one. Many of you may not know, but if you an adult takes a minor outside the state of Tennessee and don't have permission from their guardian, not only does the person get in trouble but so does the tour operator.

Not wanting to chance a fake notary signature, and yes I have already encountered this situation, I took the steps required to become a notary. I didn't realize how much power this position holds. Making this decision makes Yes! Go Travel stay legal -- I don't think I would look cute dressed in prison clothes.

Reading travel articles is often how I end my days curled up in my recliner with my iPad. Doesn't life in the Housley household sound exciting?

I feel being educated is critical for the success of any business.

On October 7, Mexico’s Senate voted 104–0 to amend its General Tourism Law. Once the rule takes effect, adults traveling with minors may have to show official documents proving their relationship to the child, or their parental authority, custody or guardianship. They would show them before hotels, rentals, tour operators, transportation providers, restaurants and other tourism businesses will serve them.

If the paperwork isn’t there, businesses would be required to refuse service and report it to authorities.

What we know:
• It has passed Congress but is not in effect yet
• No start date has been announced
• Mexico hasn’t said which documents will be accepted
• It’s separate from Mexico’s existing immigration rules for minors

Until official guidance is released, we recommend that families pack:
• The child’s birth certificate
• Any custody or guardianship orders
• A notarized consent letter from any parent who isn’t traveling

This matters most for grandparents, relatives, family friends and divorced or separated parents traveling with children.

Homeward Bound

🍁🚌 The Final Miles of Our New Hampshire Adventure… and a Heart Full of Gratitude! ❤️

Today marks the final day of our New Hampshire Fall Foliage Tour as we make our way back home to Tennessee. 🍂

Every tour group has its own personality, its own stories, and its own special kind of magic. But this group? This group has truly touched my heart. ❤️

At Yes! Go Travel, our motto has always been “Come as strangers, leave as friends!” But I believe this group has taken that motto to an entirely new level!

Over the past several days, I’ve had the privilege of watching strangers become friends, friendships grow stronger, laughter become contagious, and people genuinely look out for one another. Those are the moments that remind me why I love what I do. ❤️

For those of you who couldn’t join us on this adventure, I made a special effort to share our daily travels through pictures, stories, and a little bit of my Suzie-style humor! 📸😂 My hope was that, even if you couldn’t physically be on that motorcoach, you could still experience a little of the adventure right along with us.

The road is a magical place. 🚌✨

And I know there are more than a few of you who understand exactly what I mean by that statement.

I also know that some of my dear friends are facing circumstances in life that make traveling difficult or even impossible right now. Whether it’s health challenges, family responsibilities, or simply a season of life that keeps you close to home, please know that I think of you often.

So consider these pictures, stories, and daily adventures my little gift to you. 🎁❤️ I hope they’ve brought a smile to your face, stirred a wonderful memory, or allowed you to escape your everyday worries for just a few moments.

As we travel these final miles toward Tennessee, I’m feeling a little sentimental, incredibly grateful, and yes, maybe even a little emotional.

Because when I look around this motorcoach, I don’t just see passengers. I see friendships, shared memories, and a little traveling family that didn’t exist when we first pulled out of Tennessee.

The beautiful fall foliage of New Hampshire may have been the reason we took this journey, but the friendships we’ve made along the way will be what I treasure most. 🍁❤️

The scenery may fade, the miles may end, but the memories and friendships will travel with us forever.

National Civil War Museum and Street Fair

✨ Today Was Filled with a Little Unexpected MAGIC! ✨🚌🍁

One thing I’ve learned after all these years of traveling is that sometimes the best adventures are the ones you never planned! ❤️

Our original itinerary had us visiting the National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, but you know me… I’m always looking for a little something EXTRA! 😉

We discovered a nifty 1950s-style diner in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, that took us straight back to the good old days! 🍔🥤🎶 A little nostalgia, a little history, and a whole lot of fun!

But little did I know that today would turn into Molly Pritchard Day in this town! 🇺🇸❤️

What an unexpected treat to have the opportunity to visit her gravesite of Revolutionary War hero Molly Pritchard AND meet some of my fellow Daughters of the American Revolution members along the way! Sometimes history has a way of finding you when you least expect it. What a special experience!

The festival included about 30 vendors and a wonderful street performer. With ice cream, b**r, and Pepsi nearby we enjoyed a short time soaking up the atmosphere.

Tonight, our Yes! Go Travel family is settling in for our final overnight stop in Wi******er, Virginia. 🏨

Tomorrow morning, we point that big motorcoach toward TENNESSEE and head for HOME! 🚌🏡

After days of adventures, beautiful scenery, laughter, history, and memories, I think we’re all ready to see our own beds! 😂

But I have to say… it’s the unexpected moments, the people we meet, and the memories we make that turn an ordinary trip into an extraordinary adventure! ❤️
