Thanks you so much to everyone who has donated, shared, helped out, and offered resources. It means a lot to us. This project is very solitary and we aren’t in regular communication with people (brown RECLUSE haha) so to see the support and outpouring has meant a lot!!!

Unfortunately we were not able to secure enough funding in time to keep our Free Printing for Black Zinemakers program funded. The grant we had before, albeit being extremely restrictive, provided us with enough funds to rent out a space and equipment to fund a printing press exclusively for Black folks who didn’t have resources to print their zines. We had to shut this space down and really are grateful we were able to spend the last five years supporting Black zinemakers with this offering. It was a hard decision to make, but hopefully it can come back in the future when we have more volunteers and resources. Thank you to everyone who submitted their zine such an honor to print such amazing works!

We got a new smaller space to house our project which is significantly less expensive, we don’t have the equipment to print for our program anymore, (we are down to one 22 year old risograph that can only handle very small runs) BUT we are able to still offer 100% of the cover price for Black zinemakers and will never take a cut from their sales in our distro.

We lowered the goal to reflect our 2026 operation cost for this project and also to pay for expenses incurred by Free Printing for Black Zinemakers that were not covered by our grant last year.

If you can keep sharing and fundraising it would be helpful!, we are happy to announce that we are going to make it! The mailorder website and zine fest tabling will still exist! We just need a little help, and here’s to 12 more years
