Dear fellow owners,
I hope everyone is enjoying summer. Just a few reminders as we move through the on season:
- For owners who wish to wash their balconies, please be mindful of unit owners below you. Our complex is busy this time of year and many people are enjoying their balconies.
-When using shopping carts to load or unload belongings, please return them promptly as other owners may need to use them. There have been times when there are no available shopping carts. Do not store them in units or outside units for an extended period of time.
- The dog walk area is along 80th street. Dogs are not permitted in the grass areas by the pool or behind the A and B buildings. Also, renters are not permitted to have pets.
- The white fenced area between the A and B buildings is not for storage of any kind. Items stored there will be removed.

It has come to the board’s attention that we have had some animal noise issues related to various units in our community. While our bylaws do not have specific rules and regulations around noise levels, it is our responsibility as owners to be respectful to each other in our community. Based on OCMD code, the following is the technical remedy that is available to an owner related to a noisy animal:

Chapter 6, Sec. 6-3. - Disturbance of persons.

(a) It shall be unlawful for an owner or person having possession of an animal or any other person to allow an animal to disturb the quiet of a person or neighborhood by barking, whining, howling, crying, squawking, whistling or any other unreasonably loud noise in a continuous manner.
(b) A violation of the provisions of this section shall be a municipal infraction subject to the provisions of section 1-8.
(Code 1999, § 6-3; Ord. No. 2000-28, 9-5-2000).
Municipal infractions are punishable by a fine of not less than $25.00 nor more than $1,000.00.
That being said, if ask that you attempt to resolve the situation amicably and if you would like the board to reach out to the unit owner your behalf or anonymously, please email the President or Secretary with your specific situation and we will address send a courtesy email to the owner asking that they attempt to resolve the situation. Improperly Stored Items - The date to remove improperly stored items from stairwells and in between the A & B buildings has been extended from April 1 to April 17. After April 17, the Association will have items removed without compensation to owners.
