Going to be a great summer !

🎉🎶 Get ready for another amazing summer in OIB! The Town of Ocean Isle Beach is bringing the energy all season long with the 2026 Peggy Hughes Summer Concert Series. 🌊

This year’s lineup features a great mix of returning favorites and fresh new sounds, with something for everyone to enjoy. Join us for one of OIB’s favorite traditions filled with live music, family fun, and evenings by the coast.

Concerts are typically held on Fridays, with a few schedule adjustments around Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day weekends (see schedule below).

From May 24 through September 6, enjoy 11 Friday concerts, 2 Sunday performances, and 1 Wednesday show at Town Center Park (11 E. 2nd St.).

Concerts begin at 6:30 PM, and chair setup opens at 4:00 PM.

Grab your lawn chairs, bring your friends and family, and get ready to dance, sing along, and make unforgettable summer memories under the OIB sky! 💃🕺🎵✨

Camp Mermaid 🧜‍♀️… loving the new bunkbeds in the second room!  Now we can sleep five in this bedroom…
With one twin overall and one twin over twin, we can accommodate even more people for the fun at the beach.

Beautiful day… vitamin sea 🌊

Vitamin Sea 🌊- soooo soothing to the soul!

I had a dream of owning Sea La Vie, Ocean Isle Beach NC - Luxury Coastal Rental and in 2018 my mom helped to make it come true for me 🏖️❤️

We bought Sea La Vie together.  We renovated it- ripping it down to the floorboards.

We even had to replace parts of the subfloor as there was rotten wood. This building has been here since 1977!

We bootstrapped and mom scored us major deals on the appliances on Black Friday. The renovation took longer than expected but it was worth it.

She would always joke with me and tell me she was the best partner - as she was a “silent” owner as I have always handled all the operations . She WAS the best partner! Endlessly supportive- each year, usually in March or April, I would tell her after looking at the bookings… that I didn’t know if we would get everything filled up and she would say to me OK no worries. We’ll figure it out and every year we have become completely booked. She was so proud of us becoming a premiere five star host with both Vrbo and Airbnb.

Through the years, she cheered me on as I continued to upgrade the experience for our guests. Adding small yet luxurious touches.  she loved that I put shampoo conditioner and body wash in the shower. She loved that I added a coffee bar because of course Dunkin’ Donuts coffee was her favorite.❤️

As I reflect, I have so much gratitude that we were able to have such fun as a family at our Place At The Beach . Having time together and creating memories is all that we are left with in the end.

I think about our last trip together, coming down here. We had dinner at our favorite restaurant , oyster rock in Calabash.  the waiter was talking about specials that they had and they had elk chops.

In true Donna fashion , she put her hands up over her head on each side, motioning like she had antlers confirming that the waiter really said elk . We laughed so hard .

This condo has become THE place for making memories.
