That's a lot of trash!

That's a lot of trash!

🧨 FINAL RESULTS ARE IN: 🎇 Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, over 145,000 lbs. of firework debris were collected from the recent 5th of July Cleanup effort!

It's hard to fully wrap your head around these numbers, but they are truly staggering. Please remember to pack out what you pack in and pay extra attention to the tiny bits of plastic and casings that are dangerous to marine life. There is nothing patriotic about trashing public lands for the holiday weekend.

Shout out to GrassRoots Garbage Gang, Olympia Surfrider Chapter, and Washington State Parks & Recreation Commission for rallying dedicated volunteers to clean numerous beach approaches in Westport, Ocean Shores, and Long Beach. It's time we do better!

I see lots of great dog shots on the beach but this is another level of awesome. .adventures on Instagram making a flyin...
