Today’s cruise vocabulary word: Fuel hedging 🚢⛽️

Translation? Royal Caribbean locked in fuel prices early before oil prices started climbing… while Carnival didn’t do it nearly as aggressively.

That matters A LOT when global events suddenly send fuel prices soaring.

It’s one of those behind-the-scenes business decisions most cruisers never hear about, but it can absolutely impact cruise pricing down the road.

Which is also your reminder:
If you’re thinking about booking the cruise, book it now and monitor the price later. Cruise fares can often be adjusted DOWN before final payment… but you usually can’t go back and get yesterday’s cheaper rate once prices go up.
