Ocean Springs Vacation Short term vacation rental cottage. Liliiflora Cottage is a privately owned modern “dogtrot” style vacation home.

The name Liliiflora comes from the Latin name for the Japanese Magnolia tree, which was a favorite of my mothers and is a symbol of my wife and daughters combined Japanese and Mississippi heritage. The home is newly constructed (2015) and is provisioned with all of the necessities and conveniences to ensure a comfortable stay. The “Dog Trot” design allows each of the two bedrooms to open onto a la

rge screened breezeway, which is great for sleeping with the doors and windows open on cool nights. The porch is a great place to relax in one of the hanging hammock chairs and read a good book. The main house has vaulted ceilings, a full kitchen, half bath, laundry and a living area with flat screen TV and wireless internet. Two "Beach Cruiser" bikes are also available for guest to use.

Breakfast at Phoenicia Gourmet Restaurant’s new Highway 90 location is a must when you’re in Ocean Springs. Great food, great spot, and definitely worth a visit. If you’re not a breakfast person, lunch and dinner are just as good. My wife loves the chicken shawarma.
