☀️🐟 Happy Mola Mola Monday! 🐟☀️

One of the ocean’s most fascinating giants, the Mola mola (Ocean Sunfish), has been making appearances off our coast!

🌊 Did you know:
🔹 The Mola mola is the heaviest bony fish in the world, weighing up to 5,000 pounds!
🔹 They can grow over 10 feet tall from fin tip to fin tip.
🔹 Despite their massive size, they primarily feed on jellyfish and other gelatinous zooplankton.
🔹 Their name “sunfish” comes from their habit of basking near the surface, appearing to soak up the sun.
🔹 Mola molas are found in oceans around the world, including right here off Southern California!

Talk about an UNREAL encounter! 🌊🔥
A breaching Minke Whale in Oceanside?! This incredible whale launched clear out of the water putting on an unforgettable show for everyone onboard. Fast, elusive, and usually pretty stealthy… seeing one breach like this was absolutely EPIC!

The ocean has been full of surprises lately and we are here for it 👏🐋

Yesterday off the coast with Oceanside Adventures was absolutely incredible! 🌊🐋

9:30 AM Trip:
Humpback whales, fin whales, common dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, and even a gray whale cow & calf pair!

12:00 PM Trip:
More humpbacks, fin whales, and huge pods of common dolphins putting on a show.

2:30 PM Trip:
Humpbacks, fin whales, and playful common dolphins rounded out another unforgettable afternoon on the water.

The diversity of marine life right now has been unreal — every trip is different and every trip has been exciting! Who’s ready to get out on the water with us? 🌊🐬🐋

Flukes up all day long! 🤩🐋 These Humpback whales were putting on an incredible show, tossing their massive tails high above the water! To top it off, we also spotted Fin whales and Gray whales throughout our day… an unforgettable time on the ocean with so much whale activity! 🌊✨
